Tent City Ministry

TENT CITY OUTREACH. . . sponsored by UKANDU Missions / Love Like Lija. Tent Cities are a collection of tents set up in an area to provide temporary shelter for people who have been displaced or are homeless.  There are many of these tent cities in Chicago where people are in need of assistance, compassion, and the love of Christ.  During the 2022 UKANDU Mission trip, the Holy Spirit called on the Outreach teams to be the "hands and feet" while sharing the love and peace that Jesus freely gives to us.  This led to a continuing mission of support for this community. We ask you to support this new mission by praying for the Outreach group as they continue to work in these Tent Cities throughout the year.  We have been in contact with both Tabor Lutheran Church and Christ the King Church, in Chicago, to serve this community each month on the 2nd and last Saturday of every month, respectively. Please see the "wish lists" below where you can purchase needed items if you would like to donate to the mission. If you have any questions, or for additional information, please email [email protected], or contact the Church Office.
