Sharing the Love of Jesus in Nicaragua
For more than 14 years, St. John’s has been meeting needs and planting Gospel seeds in Nicaragua, the poorest country in Central America.
Over these years our mission projects have included:
- providing a nourishing noon meal every day of the school year for 45 of León’s poorest children - over 125,000 meals at the Children’s Feeding Center
- supporting and continuing the upkeep of the Children’s Feeding Center facility (Comedor Infantil) in León
- conducting children’s ministry activities (VBS) at our Children’s Feeding Center and rural church communities
- funding and assisting in the building of much needed safe and sturdy houses for the Children’s Feeding Center families – seven houses built since 2019
- purchasing, packing and distributing food packages – 2800+ shared
- building a Lutheran church and continuing its upkeep
- supporting Pastor Henry, the local Lutheran pastor
