After retirement, she worked part time at BMO Harris Bank for 14 years in an administrative role. She was a long-time resident of Lombard and loved to travel both internationally and domestically. LaVerne was very devoted to her parents and their care, right up until their passing. She also enjoyed gardening and socializing with many friends. Many of us often enjoyed her exquisite taste, quick wit, vast vocabulary, and profound knowledge of the Bible. She was a long time member of St. John’s in Lombard and loved to sing in church and in the church choir. She was also very involved in the LWML for many years. Her faith remained strong throughout her life.

LaVerne was taken home to our Heavenly Father on November 3, 2017.  Our gratitude is extended to her pastors, relatives, friends, and caregivers; who were with her and helped ease her discomfort here on Earth.
