Operation Christmas Child is a part of Samaritan’s Purse which is a ministry of Franklin Graham that brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations worldwide through simple, gift-filled shoe boxes and evangelistic materials that tell the Good News of God’s love.
The information we give you includes suggestions for gifts and labels telling if the box is for a girl or boy and what age group. Your gift for these children will likely be the only one for them on Christmas morning. Pack your box with love — let your own children help shop and pack-send your box with prayer and share the Good News of Jesus Christ with a hurting child!
You fill the shoebox (can be cardboard or plastic) with small toys and other gifts. There will be information and labels to put on the shoeboxes at church at a table in back of church starting October 16th.
National collection week is November 14-21st. You bring the filled shoebox to St. John’s and the Mission Board delivers them to the appropriate place.
It helps so much if you can also give $7 donation to cover shipping.
